*Harriett is (re-)reading: Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston:* "Having recently adopted a young cat = I named Zora, I thought it was time to revisit this Black feminist classi= c from the Harlem Renaissance. I chose the audiobook = read by the masterful Ruby Dee on Libro.fm and delighted in the chara= cterizations of her voice and the lilting narrative passages. Protagonist= Janie Crawford comes of age with her Nanny in northern Florida and marri= es three times before finding strength in her identity and voice. A hurri= cane changes her fortunes, but reveals the strength of her love and tenac= ity. Whether you've read this classic or not, I highly recommend this gre= at audiobook recording with Ruby Dee."

Miesha is reading: <= em style=3D"font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;">She Said by Jodi= Kantor and Megan Twohey "This is a perfect nonfiction read = for anyone who loves seeing how a groundbreaking investigative journalism= story unfolds. The journalists had to build a coalition of women willing= to publicly accuse Harvey Weinstein together. They uncovered the wildly = restrictive settlement agreements past victims signed and fought in a cli= mate of mistrust in the media. The book is inspirational about the tenaci= ty of the two journalists and the women's stories they uncovered.

*Freddy is reading: Parable of the Sower by Octav= ia Butler*: "I've known of Octavia Butler for years now but have= just begun my first book of hers, Para= ble of the Sower.
