Founded in 2018 by Antwoine Washington, the Museum of Creative Human Arts is a non-profit organization whose mission is to transform the Cleveland art scene by ensuring equity, diversity, and the inclusion of underserved artists. Washington was the 2019 recipient of the Cleveland Arts Prize Verge Fellowship. “I wanted to install an exhibit on Larchmere to expose the neighborhood to local artists who have been overlooked, especially artists of color,” says Washington. In 1996 Russell Maret began teaching himself to design letterforms and in 2009 was awarded the Rome Prize in Design from the American Academy in Rome.
