So excited to hear you’ll be joining us for Author Alley! It would be easiest, from my perspective, to take everything from you on consignment (sold at a 60/40 split in favor of you) and have you take the unsold copies back at the end of the day. We would ask that you drop them off at your earliest convenience. We would want approximately 20 copies of Jovienne and the companion soundtrack, and about 5 copies of the other books (although if you have some that are runaway sellers, please feel free to bring more of those—you are the best judge of your sales figures, after all). However, if this does not work for you, we can work with our distributors to get as many of the titles as we can. We want it to be a win/win for everyone involved, after all. Let me know what works for you. I prefer to communicate via email, as it leaves a paper trail which is often important when you are dealing with 50 separate authors at once, but do feel free to give us a call at 216-795-9800 with any questions as well. Subject: Re: Author Alley 2017 My publisher for Jovienne (released May this year) is Ragnarok Publications, distributed through IPG. My publisher for the Persephone Alcmedi series is Pocket Books, but #1 and #3 are sold out. That said, I have some copies of all titles. Also, I have a companion CD of original music composed, created, produced, mixed and mastered by me as a soundtrack for Jovienne. It has a bar code. So...do you want to get copies of all these from me and then return unsold units to me afterward? Or would you prefer to go through your usual channels to get what items you can? Thank you for choosing to participate in Author Alley 2017 at Loganberry Books on Saturday, July 1, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Your receipt of this email means you are registered and that we are looking forward to seeing you! Author Alley is part of the annual Larchmere Festival, a community street festival which brings around 5,000 people to our neighborhood, and includes special sales by Larchmere merchants, friends, and residential neighbors. If you wish to take a short break any time in the course of the afternoon to experience the rest of this exciting event, we encourage you to do so. If you are providing your own books on consignment, we ask that you please drop your books off at Loganberry Books at your earliest convenience, no later than June 20 th. If you are published through a traditional press, we will take care of the ordering for you, and ensure you have ample copies on the day of the event. If you are unsure which category you fall into, or if you have any questions or concerns, you can send an e-mail to carmen@logan.com and we will do our very best to assist you. Load-in of additional supplies (bookmarks, posters, pamphlets, etc.) in Loganberry’s Author Alley next door to the shop should begin on the day of the event at 11 a.m., so everyone can be well-established by start time at noon. However, please do not arrive prior to 11, as staff will be occupied with festival logistics and set-up. After unloading, you will need to park vehicles elsewhere. We will update you with parking current information as soon as it becomes available. You will not need to bring additional books on the day of the event. We are very excited about this chance for the community to meet and support local authors, and hope the Festival proves enjoyable for you as well. It is a great opportunity to meet and network with your fellow authors and your readers. We truly appreciate our local talent, so thank you again for your participation.
